How we have raised finance for businesses like yours

Life after redundancy

A double redundancy led brothers–in-law Carl Tilley and Christopher Peil to change their careers as computer graphic designers. They wanted to work together and decided to buy the Eureka Convenience Store in Midway, Derbyshire. Martin Gee of Derbyshire IFAs LLP referred them to local business finance expert, ASC Director Steve Cooper, and a loan of £255,000 over 20 years was soon agreed with a lender on the ASC Panel. Like many first time business ventures the deposit was coming from the sale of a family home and all was progressing nicely until the sale fell through.

Carl said “We thought that was the end as the vendor was pushing to complete, but Steve quickly secured some short term funding and thankfully got everything back on track.”

Having access to a variety of different lenders on the ASC panel means that where there is a sudden change in circumstances, it can be rectified quickly so the purchase doesn’t fall through. The sale completed on time and the two families are now happily serving the Midway community.
