Jeremy Piper, an independent financial advisor referred his clients to Simon Mullens of ASC Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire. They were looking to purchase an investment property by raising funds against an existing commercial property in London, but this was owned through an off-shore company based in Jersey. The clients had already been declined for finance from their bank – they knew the banks which weren’t lending, but luckily ASC know the banks which are!

After an initial meeting to understand their business needs and how they could to refinance, ASC were able to help restructure their proposal and begin applying and negotiating with several different lenders. Due to the complexity of the deal, some lenders were still not interested in providing the finance, but due to ASC’s persistence, and relationships with the lenders, a suitable lender was found with favourable terms.

Many hurdles still needed to be overcome, but ASC closely liaised with the solicitors and accountants to ensure a smooth transaction was completed and that the clients were pleased with the final deal.
