Although some names might be recognisable and offering finance no matter where you look, that doesn’t necessarily mean that they’re the best option for finance in the area.
This makes knowing your local financial area one of the most important skills a broker can have. Knowing the available options for clients is key to providing a quality financial service. The big banks may be everywhere, but it’s entirely possible that a local lender is willing to offer potential clients a better deal – and as a broker it’s your responsibility to make sure you’re aware of that.
