Two things make me a good broker. Firstly, I take the time to listen to and understand each client’s financial requirements and driving force. Secondly, it’s my tenacious approach. I don’t give up when I’m sourcing a deal for a client, and I’m willing to challenge lenders that come back with a no.
One of my most interesting and challenging deals was a referral from a High Street bank that couldn’t help their long-standing customer.
I met with the business directors to understand their requirements and develop a plan. I was able to refinance their assets and provide them with working capital to resolve their short-term cashflow issues and provide further funds to convert a commercial property into three flats.
My client was so pleased with the result that they instructed me within 12 months to raise new build development finance to complete some additional flats.
The most satisfying aspect of my role is completing a loan deal for a client, knowing its life-changing impact and that it’s allowing them to follow their dreams.
I love sports and still enjoy the occasional round of golf and getting in the gym for a workout. Exercise definitely improves my wellbeing after a long day in the office.
