Since our inception 50 years ago, ASC has been raising finance for a variety of clients across all sectors and for most purposes, but raising finance is not always an easy task. Sometimes it can be difficult due to the complexity of the finance that we are securing for our clients, and other times due to the due diligence of the process. We’ve asked two difference ASC’s regional directors in different areas, Simon & Ben, what the hardest aspect of raising finance really is.
Simon Mullens from ASC Hertfordshire comments, “The first hard aspect is contacting the lenders, the second is being able to present the case in a professional manner, not only to the lenders but to the clients, the valuers and the solicitors. There are other few variables that are hard to get by, and that includes presentation, presentation is key, without proper presentation you are not able to get the finance that you want.”
Ben Davidson from ASC Wales comments, “The hardest aspect is being able to understand holistically every aspect that is going to make an impact, so throughout ASC, we have a full process to go through. It is imperative that we start with sitting down with the client for a good amount of time, on a one-to-one basis, to truly understand the whole picture, it’s not just taking the deal in isolation but taking everything into consideration which could make an impact. Therefore, once we know all the information, it really equips us far better to be able to take that to the lenders market, in order to get the indicative offers.”
