How is the UK housing market post Brexit and Covid?

In part it’s the question that every property investor would love to know the definitive answer to. As you may have read previously, there has been huge economic impact on the property market from both Covid and Brexit, both of which have slowed down growth and impacted global supplies. But despite this, property values across the UK are increasing year on year and the market has been resilient even after the effects of both Covid and Brexit.

The latest public data from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) helps prove the point. The average house price in the UK has increased by 8% on average, in the past year to July 2021. It is estimated that there are 25 buyers on average for each property.

So, it is the right time to make that property investment?

We have and continue to see strong demand for the purchase of both residential and commercial investments properties. If you are looking to buy something at rock bottom prices, you are unlikely to find it with the current demand. But that doesn’t mean there aren’t good deals to be done.
