Last weekend was Small Business Saturday – an initiative which aims to raise the profile of small businesses across the UK. And having worked alongside small businesses for the last 45 years, we at ASC Finance are keen to praise the initiative.
It’s worth remembering how important small businesses are to the UK economy. Around 60% of jobs in the private sector are through small business, employing a total of 15.7 million people!
And it’s not just the numbers of people – the total annual turnover of small businesses in the UK is £1.8 trillion – which is a figure which gets quite difficult to visualise.
So, we are keen to continue to support small businesses – not just on Small Business Saturday, but everyday!
