“Time is your most precious gift because you only have a set amount of it. You can make more money, but you can’t make more time. When you give someone your time, you are giving them a portion of your life that you’ll never get back. Your time is your life.”
As the above quote illustrates, time is a precious commodity. And for any small business owner, it is even more valuable – there are simply not enough hours in the day to do everything that you need to do to run your business – and that’s before taking family into account, or even, heaven forbid, time to put your feet up and relax.
But more and more large corporations seem to be making it more and more time-consuming to carry out the day to day activities which you need to run a business. Be it setting up energy or telephone accounts, filing a tax return, or applying for a commercial mortgage, these large companies seem to not realise that time is an asset to small businesses, and they cannot afford to go through long complicated processes, or be kept on hold for hours on end.
Business owners need to focus their time and plan it right. More than ever the importance for an organisation which works with small businesses is not just about supplying their customers with goods and services at the right price, but ensuring that it is hassle free, and that their clients have the time to focus on running their business.
