So we are at the end of 2013. And it has proven to be another challenging year for small businesses. Although we are very slowly beginning to see signs of an economic recovery, the market is still struggling along, and it is still very hard for small business to attract new customers. And (despite what they sometimes say), the banks are still making it difficult for small businesses to obtain the finance which they need to grow.
But it is not all doom and gloom, and on the eve of 2014 there is reason to be optimistic. And small business owners are generally being positive about the year ahead. In fact, the FSB’s Voice of Small Business Index in December showed that over a quarter of SMEs were looking to increase capital investment next year. And even if some of the banks make borrowing difficult, luckily we know which banks are lending to businesses, and can arrange the right finance for a successful year.
Here’s to a great 2014 for you and your business.
