One coffee? That'll be 3p per minute!
Normally in business we think that some things have to be done in a certain way. Take for example a coffee shop. You have a space and you charge people for the coffee and food that they choose. And that’s the only way it can be done, right?
Well no. Take Ziferblat a coffee shop in London where you don’t pay for what you have, but rather you pay for the time you spend there. Customers are charged three pence per minute they are there and in that period can help themselves to coffee, biscuits, sit down and relax, and even play on the piano.
It’s a unique concept which is trying something in a different way. They already have 10 branches in Russia, and have recently opened up their first space in London.
So we at ASC congratulate them on trying to break away from the norm and doing things differently, and hope that their decision proves to be every bit as successful as it is creative.
