Bryan Silverman rose to fame when he realised that people responded well to advertising in public toilets and also that people like something to read while sitting on the loo. (Stick with me here)
He decided to create toilet paper with coupons on them. Each roll included a continuous loop of 8 coupons from a variety of paying businesses. The customer can then tear off a coupon to use in the local store or online.
The company and products are developing to allow customers to scan a coupon instead of carrying around a square of loo roll.
We admire when businesses test the boundaries and aren’t afraid to be different. It’s about weighing up the risk versus the reward and we can’t wait to see if this idea takes off.
